Terms & booking conditions
Who you are dealing with
This site is run by Charitini Anastasia Taktikou, a self-employed dance teacher established at 49th Street 26, 4152 Kato Polemidia, Limassol, Cyprus. You can reach a person at chartakt@gmail.com. Email is answered six days a week — not on Sundays or public holidays.
These terms apply to everything bought here: private lessons, filmed classes and membership packages. Please read them before you book — booking means you accept them.
Prices
Every price on the site is in euro and is the total you pay. No VAT is charged — the business is not registered for VAT. There are no booking fees and no delivery costs. If a price is ever shown wrongly because of an obvious mistake, you will be told before anything is charged and you can walk away.
Private lessons
- You need an account to book. It takes a minute and needs no password — a six-digit code arrives by email.
- A lesson lasts the time shown next to it and takes place either at the studio or live over video, whichever you pick.
- The contract is made when the confirmation email reaches you, not when you press the button. Until then the hour is only being held.
- The hour is then yours — nobody else can book a time that overlaps it.
- For an online lesson the joining link comes with that email. Please be ready a few minutes early.
- All times on the site are Cyprus time (EET/EEST). If you are booking from another country, check the difference before you choose an hour.
Paying
- Cash — studio lessons only, paid when you arrive.
- Revolut transfer — you receive a reference code with your booking. The hour is held for 24 hours; if the transfer has not arrived by then, the booking may be released and the hour offered to someone else.
Your right to change your mind
EU law gives you 14 days to withdraw from most things bought at a distance. Two things sold here fall outside that right, and the law says so expressly:
- A lesson booked for a particular date and time. Services tied to leisure activities with a fixed date are excluded from the 14-day right — an hour held for you on Tuesday at 11:00 cannot be given to anyone else if you change your mind on Monday night. What you have instead is the cancellation policy below, which is more generous than the law requires.
- A filmed class or a membership, once you start watching. Because you get access immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree to that and to acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right as soon as watching begins. If you have not started, the 14 days still stand: write to chartakt@gmail.com and you will be refunded in full.
To withdraw where the right applies, an unambiguous statement by email is enough — say who you are, what you bought and when. The refund is made within 14 days of your telling us, by the same means you paid.
Cancelling a lesson
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the lesson, from your own account page. After that the lesson is charged in full unless we agree otherwise — illness and emergencies are dealt with case by case, so write and say so. If Haritini has to cancel, you are offered another time or a full refund, whichever you prefer.
Filmed classes
- Buying a class gives one person the right to watch it, for good, on this site. It is a licence to watch, not a copy to keep: downloading, re-recording, screen-sharing or re-publishing it anywhere is not allowed, and neither is letting someone else use your account.
- A membership package opens the classes marked for it, up to the number of different classes per period shown on the package. Opening the same class again inside that period costs nothing more.
- Nothing renews itself. A membership runs until the date you were told and then stops. No card is charged automatically.
- You can stop a membership at any time from your account. Stopping does not close anything you have already paid for: the classes stay open until the end of the period, and classes you bought outright stay yours whatever happens to the membership.
- Free classes carry the same rules, minus the payment.
If something is not right
You are entitled by law to lessons carried out with reasonable care and skill, and to video that plays and matches its description. If a class will not play, if a lesson does not happen, or if what you got is not what was described, write to chartakt@gmail.com and it will be repaired, replaced or refunded. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Training safely
Pole, heels and flexibility training are physical activity and you take part at your own risk. Work within your ability, warm up, use mats where it makes sense, and talk to a doctor first if you are pregnant, injured or have a medical condition. A filmed class cannot see you — stop if something hurts.
Nothing here limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. Beyond that, responsibility is limited to what you paid for the lesson or class in question.
The material on this site
Videos, choreography, photographs and text belong to Charitini Anastasia Taktikou and may not be copied, recorded or reproduced.
Your account
Keep your email account safe — anyone who can read it can sign in as you. An account may be closed if it is used to share paid classes with other people. You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time; see the privacy policy.
Complaints
Write to chartakt@gmail.com first; most things are settled in an email. If that does not work, consumers in Cyprus can go to the Consumer Protection Service of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry (helpline 1429, ccps@mcit.gov.cy), and consumers elsewhere in the EU to the European Consumer Centre in their own country.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. If you live elsewhere in the EU, that choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your own country, and you may bring a claim before the courts where you live.
Changes
These terms may change — for a new payment method, for example. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when you made it.
